As one of the worlds most unique phenomenons, the 2012 Total Solar Eclipse path will travel right over Port Douglas, let twowheeltours take you on an adventure of a life time.

 

Welcome to Far North Queensland (FNQ), the tropics of Australia. After meeting in Cairns we will head north along the Captain Cook Highway, skirting the coast, for Port Douglas. On this trip we will head North, South, East and West to explore this amazing area. For the riders we have some breath taking trips going through National Parks and up through the hinterland. For the non riders you will have a wonderful time with our guide who will take you on hikes and show you places which are only found in FNQ.

 > On this adventure you will be staying in the best possible accommodation directly across from the beach. Our hotel is at the end of the famous Macrossan Street and only a short walk into the centre of Port Douglas. We will have a schedule which includes time on the reef, in our own chartered boat, a trip to Cape Tribulation National Park and into the Daintree. We will also dine in the best restaurants that the area has to offer.

Port Douglas is the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and is surrounded by the amazing Daintree Rainforest and the Coral Sea. It is the only place on Earth where two World heritage listed jewels exist; the Great Barrier Reef and the rainforest of Daintree and Cape Tribulation. This adventure will allow you to explore the region either by bike or foot. It will also give you the chance to refresh, restore and revitalise at the beach across the road or in the crystal creeks of Mossman Gorge.

Tour Information details

 

Start Date

Saturday 10 November 2012. The adventure will start in Cairns. Depending on your arrival, you can be picked up from the airport or we can collect you from your Cairns hotel.

 

End Date Thursday 15 November 2012. The adventure will conclude back in Cairns. Depending on your departure, drop offs to the airport are included.

Accommodation

A stones throw from the beach and Macrosson Street Port Douglas.

This adventure is not just for the rider, it is for anyone who would like to see and get close to the natural beauty which Far North Queensland has on offer while not necessarily riding a bike. twowheeltours also caters for the partners of riders with fully managed tours meeting back up in the evening. As they say 'the tropics are a feast for the senses; the sights, sounds and tastes'.

We want to focus on you the clients. We do not want you to be a number. This is why we have limited numbers for all our tours. For this particular tour we are limited to twenty riders and their partners. We will have an impressive five staff to cater for this adventure. That is a ratio of 5:1 making sure that all details are catered for.
